My iOS app gives the error "We've run into a problem connecting to your Luma?"

During setup there are a series of potential errors that you may encounter depending on a variety of factors.   If you see the following error, then please follow the steps below.

 "We've run into a problem connecting to your Luma."

 

This error typically occurs when you are too far from the device being configured.

We suggest standing within 5 feet of Luma during the setup process. The light ring on the Luma should be spinning blue. If not, please make sure the Luma is plugged into a power source.
