What is UPnP?

UPnP (A.K.A Universal Plug and Play) is a feature that allows UPnP enabled devices to easily discover each other on your network and access services. UPnP usually comes to mind when you're trying to stream media over the network. Many devices natively support UPnP. UPnP enabled devices are "plug-and-play" in that when connected to a network they automatically announce their network address and supported device and services types, enabling clients that recognize those types to immediately begin using the device. There are many different ways to set up UPnP, and it'll vary depending on each device you use. The good news is, Luma supports UPnP right out of the box! That means that as long is UPnP is enabled on your Luma network there is zero configuration needed.
